What are your prices?
Each cake is individually priced based on size and décor. If you shoot me a message/email and include photo or design ideas along with number of servings needed I can give you a quick quote! My smallest cake size that I offer is an 8 inch cake which feeds 16-18 and starts at $55. My most common party size is a two tier cake which feeds up to 30 guests and starts at $100. As for weddings you can expect to spend somewhere between $3-4 per guest, depending on size and design of course. So if you invite 150 guests, your total will most likely be between $450-600. Again, message me with all your details and I will give you a personalized quote.
How far in advance should I order?
As soon as you have a party date! I am consistently filling up 3-4 weeks in advance, and some weekends that are popular for weddings book much farther out, so the sooner the better! Sometimes I can squeeze in small cakes or simply frosted cupcakes with less notice. With the start of summer comes graduation celebrations, then wedding season stretches into the fall, then with winter comes holidays...
Do you freeze your cakes?
NEVER! Every order is baked fresh within 48 hours of your event!
Can you make gluten free cake?
Trick question. Yes I CAN and do offer a gluten free option, but you wont see it on the menu because I do NOT claim to be allergy friendly. I bake everything on the same equipment and just as with sugar, when you turn on your mixer, flour is airborne. So there is always a small chance of cross contamination.
What are your most popular flavors?
As you can imagine I make chocolate and vanilla cake more than any other flavor. I keep15-20 flavors on my menu and rotate them seasonally. You can't ask me to pick favorites, that is like asking a mother to pick her favorite child, it depends on the day (haha). If I had to pick a top 3 most popular currently I would say chocolate chip cookie dough, white almond, and orange creamsicle. Ask me another day I might say cookies and cream, lemon, and pink champagne. They're all very good! Since I bake from scratch, if you are interested in a flavor you don't see on the menu, just ask! Chances are I have made it before or I can make it happen for you.
Can you make this design without fondant?
Probably not… but let me explain. If you scroll through my photos, you will see the majority of my cakes are covered with fondant, but ALL of my cakes are buttercream cakes. When you cut into your cake you will find three layers of buttercream in between four layers of cake. Then your cake will be covered in a layer of buttercream before I apply a very thin layer of fondant, usually about ¼ inch thin. It blends right into the buttercream! I bake from scratch using the best ingredients available, which makes for a fresh, moist cake. I would never top my prized product with something that would make it taste bad. In fact, it seals in the freshness. More than half of my customers are regulars and I have never had one complaint about my use of fondant!
Do you do other desserts? Cookies, macarons, etc?
I wish! Maybe one day I will hire help and I will be able to take on custom cookies and other beautiful deserts, but I stay busy working more than full time hours with cake and cupcakes alone!
Can I schedule a tasting?
I offer tastings for weddings, just head to the weddings tab on my page for more info. I dont typically need to do sit down consultations for other events like birthdays and it helps keep me organized when everything is written down in an email or FB message convo. If you have a large event and have never tried my cake before, I can offer the same tasting option as I do for weddings. I charge $30 for 4 flavors of your choosing. Since everything is made to order and I never freeze cake, I dont usually have extra cupcakes lying around, so I would be baking your flavors fresh just for you. So I would need to charge for my time and supply cost. As with weddings though I can apply the $30 towards orders over $300. I do prefer to send you a quote before scheduling a tasting so please include your event date, number of servings needed, and ideas for design with your inquiry.
